Licensing & Permits
“Youngsville is open for business and we’re happy to welcome you to our city.” We want to be easy to work with and have created development guides to help you in the process. You’re welcome to apply for a permit in person at City Hall or here online.
A review of your building plans is required before a building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, footing/foundation, or other permit will be issued. This review is to ensure your building plans meet the City of Youngsville Ordinances and national building codes for life safety and minimum construction code requirements.
Frequently overlooked documentation required to submit the plans for new residential construction are the site plans, electrical/plumbing components and foundation/footing drawings.
Frequently overlooked documentation required to submit the plans for new commercial construction are the site plans, electrical/plumbing components, driveway/culvert specs, drainage/erosion control and foundation/footing drawings.
As part of the City’s efforts to expedite permitting services, the City requires a plan review fee to be paid at the time of initial application for most permit types.
Plan review fee(s) will be finalized at the completion of review with any balance due collected at that time.
NOTE: A completed Sign permit application must be submitted to City Hall prior to installation of signage. (As per Sign Ordinance, please allow 30 days for approval process)
*Exempt from pre-paid plan review fees are the following application types:
· Swimming pools & spas
· Additions/Alterations to existing structures
· Miscellaneous electrical, plumbing, and mechanical
