Dawn Menard Durke is a lifelong resident of Youngsville and a very proud mother of two: Jancie and Clay, and a proud grandmother of three: Owen, Elliette, and Archer. Dawn enjoys watching her kids and grandkids play sports, cooking, playing sports, dancing, and watching Netflix! Also, she is a workaholic! Dawn is a part of the Menard family who have been very active in the Youngsville community for over Fifty years. From grocery store owners, her father, Earl Menard, was Chief of Police for 28 years, her son is a Youngsville Police officer, uncle, stepfather, and sister have been or are council members of Youngsville, and volunteers for the Broussard Youngsville Youth Association. Dawn coached her children in sports and was a USSSA tournament director for many years. As a lifelong resident of Youngsville, she is excited to see the growth of Youngsville and being a part of the growth of Youngsville! Never in her lifetime would she ever thought she would see this much progress in Youngsville, much less this beautiful Municipal Complex in the heart of Youngsville! Dawn is a Dale Carnegie graduate and very proud to call Youngsville my forever home!
