Wade is a 1986 graduate of USL earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Southern University Law Center in 1990. He was admitted to practice in Louisiana in 1991. Wade is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, as well as the Southern District of Texas and Western District of Wisconsin. Wade is also admitted to practice in all Louisiana State Courts.
From 1991 to 2001, Wade served as the City Risk Management Attorney for the City of Abbeville, as well as a legal advisor to Mayor R. Brady Broussard. From 2004 to 2010, he served as an Assistant City Attorney for Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government working with the City Attorney Patrick S. Ottinger on expropriation and risk management matters. In June of 2018, Wade began serving as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Youngsville.
The Louisiana State Bar Association awarded Wade the Pro Bono Publico Award in 2015, the Friend of Pro Bono Award in 2014, as well as the Pro Bono Century Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Wade is the father of three boys, Grant, Christian and Hayes and is a resident of Youngsville.
