On Saturday, April 25, 2015 and Saturday, April 16, 2016, the City of Youngsville partnered with Youngsville Community Church to hold its first event to bring the community together and Keep Youngsville Beautiful!
Many students from three local churches and many volunteers in the community came together to pull weeds, mow yards, wash fences, trim bushes and plant flowers in an effort to keep the community clean and beautiful. The positive impact on the community and tremendous effort by everyone involved was incredible.
The city was grateful to be a part of this event. Our own Mayor Ken Ritter, the City Council and Youngsville administration were all very involved in this effort.
Because this first event had such a great response from the citizens, city officials decided to continue to hold Beautification Committee meetings to continue Keeping Youngsville Beautiful. A beautification committee meeting was held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 and Litter Pick Up Day was held Saturday, February 17, 2018.
